This very rare decorated folksy wiener dog with basket of flowers in its mouth was glued and repaired with Bondo for cars. I removed all old materials and glue. Notice the upper right photo - the ENTIRE crock was painted over top and bottom with oil paint.

After cleaning, reassembly began and proper restoration materials used to put the hound back together. Notice the photo in the bottom left shows REAL color variation to the clay body, as it should.

LEFT ABOVE - Rare Clark & Co. Churn which originally had a 22" crack (freeze crack I suspect) as wide as my little finger & out of shape. This piece was cleaned (it was almost black with absorbed dirt & rancid butter). I have slowly closed up the crack to it's original form.

RIGHT ABOVE - This Western PA 10 Gal. Storage Jar was very poorly glued. After de-gluing & cleaning we can now start proper restoration.

This Flint Enamel Glazed Marked, Impressed piece from Bennington, Vermont is indeed a rare find. Originally glued very badly and missing a piece, it absolutely can be restored to a great display for any collection.

While not being able to repair it perfectly where you will NOT be able to tell it was restored, I assure you it will look absolutely fabulous as an addition to your collection as an example (A good one) of this factory.
